In 1970, Joe’s parents offered 100 acres to Trempealeau County as a permanent 4-H and youth educational group camping facility.

“Over the past five decades, thousands of children, families and individuals have had a chance to enjoy this beautiful land along the Trempealeau River, make life-long memories and, in doing so, honor the namesake of this park, Joe Pietrek Jr.,” said Carlson.  “This event will take a look back at the history of Pietrek Park as well as preview the future”.
