Trempealeau County is currently accepting applications for  a Social Worker - Adult Protection & Guardianships in the Human Services Department. The purpose of this position is to provide adult protective services, investigate for elder abuse, collect information for guardianship and protective placement petitions, recommend guardian selection, placement and retention of rights, and conduct protective placement reviews. The work is performed by a Social Worker in accordance with applicable court orders, policies, rules, regulations and laws and under the direction of the ADRC Supervisor.

Trempealeau County is currently accepting applications for  a Highway Road Maintenance - Limited Term Employment (LTE) with the  Trempealeau County Highway Department. The purpose of this limited term position is to assist the Trempealeau County Highway department and road maintenance crews in various road maintenance activities throughout the winter season. Position will primarily be assigned to roadside brushing activities, to include operating a chainsaw, skid steer, end loader, and chipper.

Social Worker –Dementia Care Specialist

Trempealeau County is recruiting for a full-time Social Worker-Dementia Care Specialist in the Human Services Department.  The purpose of this position is to provide Trempealeau, Buffalo and Pepin Counties with the knowledge and resources regarding older adults, dementia, dementia care and support, family and informal caregiving needs as well as challenging behaviors. This position is unique in the aspect that it will serve all three counties although Trempealeau County will be the primary office and employer. The Dementia Care Specialist Social Worker will also provide community development, marketing and public outreach for the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Services. This position would work with community partners to help connect the community to the ADRC Services and local volunteer services. This will include working closely with community organizations and health care professionals to build Dementia Friendly Communities. This position will provide volunteer training and guidance to ensure there is access to the ongoing resources for people living in our communities. Also, providing outreach and awareness to the community about the ADRC and available Dementia Services as well as providing short-term service coordination for individuals with dementia and/or their caregivers. The work is performed under the direction of the Trempealeau County ADRC/Senior Services Supervisor.
