Language Assistance Program

Language Assistance ProgramIt is the policy of the Circuit Court of Trempealeau County to provide meaningful access to all Limited English Proficient (LEP) persons who use the courts' services. The purpose of this policy is to establish effective guidelines consistent with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 13166 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

In accordance with federal mandates, and state requirements, this court and all its personnel shall provide free language assistance services to all LEP individuals who request such assistance. Members of the public shall be informed that language assistance services are available to qualified LEP individuals and that the circuit courts shall provide those services to them upon request.
